Ours is an ancient 19th-century villa surrounded by orange and lemon trees, a limpid blue sky and the crystalline sea of the Amalfi Coast. The old house was recently restructured to form a delightful Bed and Breakfast, L’Eco dell‘800, the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing holiday and soak up the spirit and beautiful panoramas of the Amalfi Coast. 

L’Eco dell‘800 is situated in the small town of Furore, ‘il paese dipinto’ - the painted village, an oasis of peace and tranquility boasting characteristic terraces of vines and olive and lemon trees that slope gently seawards and infuse the atmosphere with Mediterranean scents and colours, the area’s fruits and flowers set within a deep blue frame of sea and sky.

Visit the town of Furore with its Fiordo, Amalfi and its cathedral, Praiano and Positano with their pretty, winding streets, and Ravello with its important villas - Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Travel along the coast until you reach Sorrento or head over the Monti Lattari to Pompeii and uncover the incredible history of these famous ruins, and to Napoli with its vibrant night life, delicious cuisine and important monuments. 

And talking of the most beautiful places on the Amalfi Coast, we have to mention two activities that shouldn’t be missed during your vacation to Amalfi - a boat excursion and an excursion on foot along the various mountain footpaths, the most famous of which is the Pathway of the Gods. This is one of the most spectacular walks you are likely to take in your lifetime. Lemon groves, vines, prickly pears, wild oregano and rosemary bushes line the hillsides, and craggy promontories offer breathtaking views of the coast from Maiore and Minore right across to the island of Capri. Tranquillity reigns along these narrow pathways, with only the bleating of goats or the cry of a hawk to break the silence and interrupt your reverie.
